Case Studies

Hundreds of schools are using LearnPad
for students of all ages. The following case
studies describe the experience of a handful of
schools from the initial decision making process
through the rollout and beyond.

The Kilburn Park School

The Kilburn Park School is a relatively small inner-city school with 9 classes and 200 pupils on the roll. The school started using LearnPads in 2014.

Currently they have 90 Quartos which are used by pupils throughout the school.

St Gregory’s RC Primary School

St Gregory’s RC Primary School in Ealing, West London, has 19 classes and 630 pupils on its roll, making it one of the largest primary schools in the capital. The staff recognise that technology is always advancing and changing but have concluded that LearnPads are powerful, user-friendly devices which will energise their children’s classroom experience.

Holland Park Primary School

Holland Park School in Essex is the LearnPad Leader School for the East of England region.

Holland Park feel that technology can be used to make learning both more enjoyable and more effective and that pupils and staff will benefit through learning with ICT. Aiming to keep pace with educational developments in this area they are committed to teachers having the necessary tools and training to teach effectively.

Witley CofE Infant School

Witley CofE Infant School in Surrey is LearnPad’s Leader School for the South East Region. Witley Infant Schools vision is to motivate and empower everyone within the school community to achieve their full potential as life-long learners whilst nurturing their individuality.

Crofton Anne Dale Junior School

Crofton Anne Dale Junior School decided that tablet computers were the ideal investment to give each child a personalised approach to learning and the LearnPad solution was suitable to their needs.

Pinewood School

Pinewood School wanted to invest in tablets that were not only geared for education, but that would also allow their pupils to practise the skills they’ve picked up at home, and use them in an educational way. Pinewood School also needed a tablet solution that would cover the breadth of the age range of their school and provide them with one system that was suitable for each year group.

St. John’s CE Primary School

St John’s Primary School are making use of LearnPad to engage and motivate their students. By making simple modifications to the pre-installed content, they have adapted the solution to meet the needs of their curriculum.

Grange Primary School

Grange Primary School was inspired to purchase LearnPads as a result of their desire to keep up to date with current trends in educational technology. It was important to the school to invest in a product to ‘enhance rather than drive the curriculum.’

English Martyrs Academy

Kate Mann the Deputy Head of English Martyrs explains that with the motto ‘be the best you can be’ the school aims to engage and inspire learning wherever that may be.

St. Richard Gwyn

Mark Baldwin, of St. Richard Gwyn, Barry, had to identify tablets that support a truly personalised approach to learning in West Glamorgan.

 

King Richard Secondary School

King Richard Secondary School has realised great results from tablet technology. The LearnPad has helped teachers share resources efficiently and effectively, saving teacher time and giving the students the support they need with the autonomy to drive their own learning.
